if i had a sweet laboratory where I could make things that are awesome, I would of course make sure that I had a starched white lab coat. Here are some things I might try:

1. a gadget that fits on your head with soft cushions over the ears, through which you can transfer sounds or music from other devices directly to your ears without anyone else hearing it. I think I would call it a telesounder.

2. Add a massage roller or back scratcher to the head of a guitar, so you can both rock loud & hard and relieve someone's stress simultaneously.

3. "revaser:" reverse-eraser on a pencil, so you can draw, then erase, the "revase" which means to rub over areas that you erased and it will re-draw what was originally there before being erased.

4. a super TV remote with stylus which, instead of forcing you to hit numeric keys to change the channel, allows you to spell out the channel you wish to watch, decreasing confusion and increasing precision. Instead of clumsily searching for the "2" button, you can simply grab the stylus and write out "t-w-o" on the stylus pad and the TV automatically knows you want channel 2, then it confirms your choice with a pop up window asking "are you sure you want channel 2?" to which you respond by typing "y-e-s" on the stylus pad, then voila the channel changes just like that.
